Overview

Placement training plays a major role in shaping up the career goals of students. It is the dream of every student to get placed in a top organization .Keeping this key aspect into consideration, it is realized that training is important for students to enhance their employability skills and achieve good placement in various Industries.  

Placements is pivotal to a student’s lifecycle on campus, therefore it has to guide the students to choose right career and to give knowledge, skill, and aptitude and meet the manpower requirements of the Industry. A very large part of their success lies in their professional achievements soon after the program they pursue. Therefore it is very essential that we ensure the graduates match up the industry requirements

Profile

Moodlakatte Institute of Technology Kundapura, has been in the forefront of imparting high quality technical and management education. Our college offers Engineering and Management courses giving an opportunity to rural students from various social and economic backgrounds. 

Placement Cell is an integral part of Moodlakatte Institute of Technology Kundapura. It comes with the vision to assist the best placements for the students graduating from MITK. 

Today, the college conducts Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) program in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Masters of Business Administration. 

We believe in inculcating the right attitude in the minds of young students and develop them as individuals who have the innate desire not just to succeed in their own lives but also to contribute meaningfully to societal development in all possible spheres. 

MITK has an Industry Institute Partnership Cell under placement which is striving hard to bridge the gap between Industry and Institute, to foster effective interaction between Industry and Institute to impart meaningful education and to promote industrial consultancy & entrepreneurship. 

The college Placement Cell plays a pivotal role in guiding the students and helps them in identifying their career goals providing them an edge in the present-day competitive job market. In addition to campus placements, the Training and Placement Cell organizes Professional Development programs like live projects in Corporates helping them acquire in-demand technical skills, mock interviews, group discussions, pre-placement talks, interactive sessions with industrial experts, case studies and Personality Development programs covering communication skills, presentation skills, career planning on a regular basis to enable the students to acquire the necessary traits to become useful to industries.

The objectives of the department

To assist students to develop/clarify their academic and career interests, and their short and long-term goals through individual counselling and group sessions.
To prepare students for campus recruitment arranging training in Aptitude tests, Group discussions, preparing for Technical and HR interviews through professional trainers.
To assist students in obtaining placement in reputed companies.
To enhance the skills of students for Industry ready employer.
To instil professional behavioural skills which includes respects values, ethics, and beliefs and maintains confidentiality.
Organizing Pre- Placement Training’s.
To build the bridge between industry and academia.

A state-of-the-art air conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of over 300 students.
An air conditioned, multimedia equipped Interaction Hall with seating capacity of around 30 students for interacting with the students and conducting workshops/Seminars Fully equipped.
Air-conditioned computer labs for conducting online test of around 150 students at a time.
A multimedia air-conditioned conference hall for conducting Group Discussions.
Well-furnished and fully equipped cabins for conducting personal Interviews.
High Speed Wi-Fi Internet.
