At the outset, I extend to you a very warm welcome to Research Center of Moodlakatte Institute of Technology, Kundapura.

Academic research is the inevitable and the most important tool to develop or enhance knowledge and to facilitate learning. Academic research carried out by students is relevant and important not only for students, but for the entire scholastic world. Academic research and development encompasses discovery, innovation, experimentation, and creation. Knowledge is associated with research objectives and findings. Research allows comprehending specific issues through different angles that were never identified or talked much about and results in solutions to the most daunting challenges of the society. Moreover, industries increasingly value skills learned through research.

We at Moodlakatte Institute of Technology have a well-established Research Center with the latest state-of-the art facilities and well qualified and experienced research supervisors. We have collaborations with many reputed industries and research institutions. The center aims through research to extend the boundaries and horizons of human knowledge and intellect so as to create an atmosphere of intellectual excitement, an environment of inquiry and innovation. We encourage our students to take up research activities right from the very first year so as to develop in each of them student the ability and passion to work wisely, creatively, and effectively for the betterment of humankind and make them industry ready at the end of their course of studies.

Honeywell Center of Excellence at MITK

Inaugural ceremony of Honeywell Center of Excellence for Youth empowerment at MITK Campus

‘Honeywell’ launches Honeywell Center of Excellence for youth empowerment. Honeywell Centre of Excellence will help students to learn the ‘UIPath Certified RPA Associate’. Through this Centre of Excellence 100 underprivileged students in the institution learn the technology and get the global certification programme at zero cost. They are also supported with the placement assistance at the end of the programme.

Five Faculty Mentors from MITK announced by Honeywell to take this initiative which will in turn empower them as well as the students.


The training programme comprises 100 hours of learning and opportunities for students to participate in the hackathons and youth empowerment summit. Apart from students, four faculty members will be trained on the advanced technology.

Technology Business Incubator (TBI)

Technology Business Incubator (TBI), is an incubation centre here at MIT Kundapura, for providing space and state of the art facilities such as office, high-speed internet, access to engineering labs and library, 3D printer, etc. and as well as providing training, internship, mentorship and guidance and funding connect (from government and private organisations) for budding entrepreneurs for the successful incubation and functioning of their startups.

We focus and motivate startups who have potential to change the dynamics of the society for the betterment of mankind and any student, faculty and person from across india, who wish to make such impact in the society, can come incubate and become part of the TBI family.

Vision

Our vision is to become one of the leading Technology Business Incubator (TBI) that incubates & nurtures innovative startups holistically from its incubation to established entity stage.

Our mission is to educate & train students and incubatees and make them competent to establish and lead innovation-based entrepreneurship.

Objectives of the TBI

Committed to helping connect Grants-in-aid for startups

TBI will help budding entrepreneurs and their startup to get Grant-in-aid for each startup as per the schemes and policies of the government of Karnataka and the Startup India for prototyping and testing the Proof of Concept (POC) and/or beta-prototype of the proposed product and services from startup. Startups will apply for grants and financial aid by utilising the TBI as a platform, once and after a thorough assessment by TBI team.

Infrastructure

5000 sq. ft of ready-to-use, built-up space, for the exclusive use of the proposed TIC. The institution has made this infrastructure facility exclusively for TBI. As and when required, additional space is also available for conducting experiments and other startups related activities.

Facilities at TBI

Equipments are purchased for the set-up of Technology Business Incubator, in association with Government of Karnataka and Government of India. 10 HP/DESKTOP, 3-D PRINTER, CANNON COPIER, 10 HP SMART TANK 515 AIO PRINTER, Xerox machines, WI-FI facility, Softwares, Operating Systems, Printers, Fire Extinguishers, A.C., DG set, consumables and stationary materials.

Technical and staff capabilities:

MIT Kundapura have the knowledgeable and competent faculties, who can guide and mentor to various startups. Also, the institute has labs and lab space to perform experiments and to test the Proof of Concepts (POC) and work on beta prototype products and services.

There are following six department in the institute:

Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, Basic Science & Humanities and Management Studies; which gave us leverage to take up a wide spectrum of startups in TBI from various fields.

TBI Activities

TBI has conducted various sessions as activities to engage, encourage, train and enhance conceptual and practical understanding of industries and startup ecosystem in India, with the budding entrepreneurs on the MIT campus. Students from 1st and 2nd year and those who got incubated in TBI as startups, attended the sessions.

Message from the Director of Technology Incubator Centre at MIT Kundapura

It is giving me immense pleasure to write about the Technology Business Incubator (TBI) at MITK. With the introduction of Startup India, Standup India and various government schemes, the entrepreneurial environment in the country has become more conducive and favourable to budding entrepreneurs. And to uplift this spirit, the TBI here at MIT Kundapura plays a great role.

TBI is a vibrant place for entrepreneurs, innovators and next-generation thinkers, who are ready to take up challenging problems in society and transform their Ideas around it into viable solutions in terms of products and services, thereby creating jobs and livelihood for people along with following their passion for entrepreneurship.

As a Technology Business Incubator, we have some of the best facilities in the Karavali region to host startups from various Industrial domains such as Tech, Fintech, Agritech, IT, Mechatronics, etc. and mentor and nurture them. we have high-end computing facilities, modern workspace, Library & information centre, 3D printers and other necessary equipment and facilities, training and conference facilities, etc. to name a few. TBI conducts various entrepreneurial sessions, seminars and conferences for startups. It also connects the right industrial mentors which best suited for the budding startups and call for various funding meetups & rounds and pitch deck presentations for getting financial support from government and private investors.

TBI is open to anyone who envisaged transforming the world, by bringing about significant changes in the world through entrepreneurship.
