MITK Selected for NAIN 2.0

MITK has been selected for the Karnataka Government’s prestigious New Age Innovation Network 2.0 (NAIN 2.0)

Moodlakatte Institute of Technology, Kundapura (MITK), has been selected for the Karnataka Government’s prestigious New Age Innovation Network 2.0 (NAIN 2.0) and has received a significant grant of ₹1.86 crore over a period of three years. This recognition marks a major milestone in the institution’s journey toward fostering a strong ecosystem for research, innovation, and startup incubation.

NAIN 2.0 is implemented by the Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society (KITS) under the Department of Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology, and Science & Technology, Government of Karnataka. For this initiative, MITK will work jointly with the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Dharwad (IIIT Dharwad), which serves as the Project Monitoring Unit (PMU). The program provides guidance, industry connections, and implementation support for students’ creative projects, helping innovative ideas emerge directly from the college. Only a handful of engineering colleges in Karnataka have been selected for this prestigious initiative, and MIT Kundapura’s selection is a matter of pride for the institution.

As a result, every student project selected for the program will receive a government grant of ₹5 lakh, helping students undertake high-quality projects. Already, more than 40 students are set to benefit from this program this year alone, and over the three-year period, approximately 120 students will benefit from the initiative.
