MITK-Annual Day
Annual Day of Moodlakatte Institute of Technology was held on 3rd May 2024. Prestigious Nadoja awardee Prof. K.P Rao , who is credited with the development of the Kannada keyboard and software to use Kannada language on computers, thereby effectively paving the way for the expansion of the use of other Indian languages in software was the Chief Guest for the function. Speaking on the occasion he comprehensively explained to the audience regarding the development of Artificial Intelligence in the last 6 decades. He also told the audience regarding his own experiments on principles and process of machine learning and also cited the personalities and their contribution to the development of AI. Programme Started with an invocation by the students. In the beginning Principal MITK Dr.Abdul Kareem read the Annual report of the Institute and congratulated all the achievers in academic and extracurricular activities.
Highlight of the report was the number of International Journal paper published by the final year students, even in Q2 standard journals, which speaks volumes about the innovative aspects of the teaching pedagogy in MITK. Principal thanked the Chairman Sri Siddartha J Shetty for helping to create a conducive Higher-end State-of-the-art Learning Atmosphere in the Campus. He also appreciated the efforts of the placement department particularly Dean Placement Prof.Amruthmala and Placement officer Prof.Akshatha Nayak for their untiring efforts to give the best Placement opportunities to the students of MITK. While speaking on the occasion Dean of Students welfare and Director brand building, Dr. Ramakrishna Hegde advised the students to maintain the academic excellence which is the lifeline for the good Placement and future professional growth along with the other value additions. During the occasion awards and prizes for the events of Annual Cultural Extravaganza Mridula, Academic Achievements and achievement in sports were distributed. Vice Principal Prof. Melwin D’Souza, HODs , Students and invited guests were their the occasion. Student Fatima Tehsir introduced the guest, student Vinitha Naik read the list of prize winners and the programme was coordinated by Prof.Amruthmala.
