Second International Conference on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science (ICAMDS-2025)

The Department of AIML at Moodlakatte Institute of Technology hosted the Second International Conference on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science (ICAMDS-2025) on September 17th and 18th, aiming to unite researchers, academics, and industry experts for exploring the most recent breakthroughs in AI, ML, and data science. The conference highlighted innovative progress in AI algorithms, machine learning methods, and data-centric approaches, emphasizing their practical uses across sectors such as healthcare, finance, and education. Through ICAMDS-2025, participants fostered partnerships and exchanged insights, while tackling critical issues, ethical implications, and the evolving landscape of these ground-breaking disciplines.

Center of Excellence in Cyber Immunity & Digital Forensics Lab Inaugural Ceremony

The Research Cell of Moodlakatte Institute of Technology, Kundapura, organized the Inaugural Ceremony of the Center of Excellence in Cyber Immunity & Digital Forensics Lab on 12th November 2025 at 10:30 AM. The inaugural function commenced with an invocation song by Keerthana, Rashmi, and Hema, followed by a welcome address delivered by Anjali. Dr. Indra Vijay Singh, Director and Dean – Research & Consultancy, delivered the opening remarks, highlighting the importance of cybersecurity and digital forensics in today’s digital landscape. The introduction of the Chief Guest, Mr. Vijayant Gaur, was made by Prof. Shrinidhi N. The dignitaries then performed the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the beginning of a new era of innovation and excellence in cyber research. The Chief Guest of the ceremony, Mr. Vijayant Gaur, Director General, Cyber Security Association of India (Delhi), graced the occasion and delivered an inspiring address emphasizing the growing need for cyber awareness, digital defense mechanisms, and real-world applications of digital forensics in combating cyber threats. Dr. Ramakrishna Hegde, Principal, and Dr. Melvin Dsouza, Vice Principal, addressed the gathering and applauded the collective efforts taken to establish this advanced facility. Dr. S. N. Bhat, Academic Director, also graced the occasion and shared his best wishes for the continued success of the initiative. Mr. Srajan K, Security Officer of the Lab, played a key role in the establishment and coordination of the center. The event witnessed the active participation of Heads of Departments, faculty members, staff, and students, making the inaugural ceremony both memorable and impactful. The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Prof. Lakshmi, who expressed sincere gratitude to all dignitaries, organizers, and contributors for their invaluable support.

Hands-on Robotics Workshop in collaboration with STEAM Robo

The Research Cell, MIT Kundapura, successfully organized a Hands-on Robotics Workshop in collaboration with STEAM Robo, providing student and Faculty with practical exposure to robotic systems, sensors, actuators, and real-time automation concepts. The workshop helped participants develop technical skills through live demonstrations, interactive learning sessions, and guided prototype activities. This initiative supports the vision of the Center of Excellence for Smart Innovation in AI, Drones & Robotics to foster research-driven learning and equip students with industry-relevant skills in robotics and emerging technologies.

Hands-on Training Program on Artificial Intelligence

The Research Cell, MIT Kundapura, in association with Vision Digital India, successfully organized a Hands-on Training Program on Artificial Intelligence, featuring practical demonstrations using the Intel Artificial Intelligence Trainer Kit. The program provided participants with real-time exposure to AI applications, machine learning workflows, model deployment, and hardware-based experimentation. Students gained valuable insights through guided sessions, interactive learning, and project-based activities. This initiative encouraged learners to move beyond theoretical concepts and engage in practical innovation, supporting the mission of developing industry-ready talent and strengthening a culture of research and technological advancement

It is giving me immense pleasure to write about the Technology Business Incubator (TBI) at MITK. With the introduction of Startup India, Standup India and various government schemes, the entrepreneurial environment in the country has become more conducive and favourable to budding entrepreneurs. And to uplift this spirit, the TBI here at MIT Kundapura plays a great role.

TBI is a vibrant place for entrepreneurs, innovators and next-generation thinkers, who are ready to take up challenging problems in society and transform their Ideas around it into viable solutions in terms of products and services, thereby creating jobs and livelihood for people along with following their passion for entrepreneurship.
