Engineering students from Moodlakatte have successfully developed an ‘IoT-based Smart Hydroponics’ technology that can bring revolutionary changes to modern agricultural practices. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fatima Tahseer, Sinchana Devadiga, and Vinita Naik\u2014students from the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering\u2014are the talented minds behind this new research. Their research paper has been published in the internationally renowned, Scopus-indexed journal “The International Journal of Informatics and Communication Technology.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hydroponics is a method of growing plants without soil, using only nutrient-rich water. The system developed by these students uses the Nutrient Film Technique (NFT), where a thin layer of nutrient-filled water continuously flows over the roots of the plants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
With the integration of IoT technology, farmers can accurately control the amount of water, temperature, and nutrient levels required for the plants remotely through their mobile or computer, no matter where they are. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This significant achievement by the students was accomplished under the guidance of Dr. Varun Kumar, Head of the Department, and Prof. Akshata Naik. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The college administration, principal, and the entire faculty have congratulated the students on this achievement, expressing hope that their research will make a significant contribution to sustainable agriculture in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
