Founded in 2004 under the MNBS Trust, Moodlakatte Institute of Technology (MITK) was established to make quality technical education widely accessible. As a part of the IMJ Institutions, MITK champions a student-centric, industry-aligned academic model.

With the launch of its MBA program in 2008, the institute expanded its offerings to cater to diverse career paths. MITK is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), approved by AICTE, and accredited by NAAC in 2024.

The Career Development Cell at MITK plays a pivotal role in preparing students for successful careers across engineering and management domains. Through the Industry-Institute Partnership Cell, students gain practical exposure via internships, live projects, and industry collaborations. Comprehensive development modules ranging from mock interviews and aptitude training to technical and soft skills enhancement ensure that students are workplace-ready.

The MITK Placement Roadmap

1. Student Registration

Students enroll with the Placement Cell, fill out the registration form, submit their CV, and select preferred tracks – IT, Core, MBA, Higher Studies, or Government Exams.

2. Orientation & Pre-Placement Training

Introductory sessions outline the placement calendar, eligibility, and etiquette. Training includes aptitude, communication, resume writing, LinkedIn setup, GDs, and mock interviews.

3. Eligibility Verification

Academic records such as CGPA, backlogs, and attendance are reviewed. Company-specific criteria are explained and individual eligibility is confirmed.

4. Placement Drive Scheduling

Campus and virtual drives are organised. The Placement Cell shares job descriptions, test formats, and registration deadlines in advance.

5. Recruitment Rounds

Students appear for written/online tests, GDs, technical interviews, and HR rounds. The Placement Cell coordinates test labs, interview panels, and logistics.

6. Offer Rollout

Selected candidates are officially notified. Offer letters are issued, stored in the central repository, and students are guided through the joining process.

7. Post-Placement Support

Support is provided for students with multiple offers or awaiting confirmations. Sessions cover onboarding, relocation, and workplace readiness.

8. Feedback & Alumni Engagement

Students share feedback on the recruitment process. Alumni from top companies mentor final-year students and offer real-world career insights.

Key Placement Regulations

Students with confirmed offers will not be allowed to participate in further drives without prior approval.
Professional conduct and discipline are mandatory throughout all placement activities.
Any violation may result in disqualification from the placement process.
