Our DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION aims at nurturing a new generation of youth through providing quality education and skills matching the requirement of a harmonious, self-reliant and developed society where they work. We also aim to inculcate values of human dignity and mutual respect, induce healthy competitions, encourage sustainable accomplishments and ensure enriching rewards.

Department intake is 60. Staff student ratio is 4:1. Achieved 100% results from 2013 till now. Good placements from companies like Pratham Motors Udupi, Excelity gGlobal, GRS Tech solutions Bangalore, Maruthi Motors Pvt. Ltd. Banglore, Infosys, Accenture Bangalore


Department of Business Administration aims at providing quality education to the rural masses of kundapura region of Karnataka. Over the period of time MBA Department has made a leap of progress in multiple dimensions and management fields of variety. Department of Business Administration offers three specializations in the streams of Finance, Marketing and Human Resources. MBA classroom teaching is supplemented by projects, seminars, Guest lectures, forum, mini projects, assignments and industrial visits. In the course of students internship programs they are exposed to multiple challenging situations in real. Summer internship helps student in gaining first hand industry experience. MBA conducts MMET exam for bright students to get 1 full free seat for MBA education & also gives many scholarship privilege to the successful & eligible candidates.

DEPARTMENT ASSOCIATION/FORUMS: Moodalakatte Institute of Technology Kundapura on 6th of October 2015 had an MBA Forum inaugural function RADIANT 15 hosted by the MBA department of the institute. Various dignitaries were present on the occasion including Principal Mrs Shubha Bhat, PRO Mr. Abdul Rehman, HODs and staffs of various departments, including the HOD of MBA Department Mrs Seema Saxena hosting the function. Chief Guest of the function Mr Jayesh Kamath is the Asst Manager of Syndicate Bank Basrur. Principal, PRO and the Chief guest had shared their thoughts about the forum and related aspects with the students of MBA. HOD of MBA Department, Mrs Seema Saxena explained meaning of the name ‘Radiant 15’ as beaming, refulgent, resplendent. Tagline, BEAM OF KNOWLEDGE, HOPE & PROSPERITY. In simple words MBA forum emits rays of light & shine brightly with joy, hope, knowledge, talent & skills. It was told how under this banner various activities will be conducted by the department of business administration in 2015 & onwards.


Master of Business Administration (MBA) Department of MITK in collaboration with the Physical Education Director of MITK, on January 19th, 2016 in the campus ground. Match will be conducted at a Degree level with free entry.

Freshers Day

Freshers function is all about making the best strat to the new academic year. A time to create everlastig relationship with each other. MBA department orgnised freshers welcome function for the batch of 2017-18. The function was organised in seminar hall of the college on 4th October 2017. It was fun filled event at which the freshers got an opportunity not only to showcase their talent but also to interact with the seniors.

Technical talk on GST

A technical talk was arraged on 4th October 2017 at 12:30PM in Seminar hall. The topic was “Goods & Service Tax (GST)” by Dr. Narayan Shetty, Principal, Bhandarkars Arts and Science College, Kundapura. GST may have a possible implications on either parties ie. the Seller and the Consumer, still it is a debatable topic. Technical talk was focused on cascading effect of taxes.

Radiant inaguration

Inauguration ceremony of activities under the forum Radiant for the academic year 2017-18 was organised by MBA department on 4th October 2017. The program was inaugurated by lightening the lamp by the Chief Guest Dr. Narayan Shetty, Principal, Bhandarkars Arts and Science College, Kundapura and was concluded by national anthem. Miss. Archana Shetty welcomed the gathering, Miss. Ranjitha introduced the chief guest, Miss. Smitha gave vote of thanks and Miss. Poornima took over the master of ceremony.
