Training and Placement Cell arranged a one hour talk on “Overview of Full Stack Java Prograd Programs” for Computer Science and Engineering Students on 5th February 2019. Mr. Dalvin Antony, the Business Development Manager from FACE (Focus Academy for Career Enhancement) was the resource person. He delivered talk on the Career role of a Full Stack Java Developer, their demand in present market, high paying job opportunity and also suggested various programs that students can undertake to fetch job with respect to this role.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Moodlakatte Institute of Technology Kundapura and SKF Boilers and Driers Pvt. Ltd., Moodabidri. The Technical Director of SKF Boilers and Driers Pvt. Ltd., Mr.Prajwal Achar and the Head of Mechanical Engineering department, Dr. Chandra Rao Madane signed the MOU in the presence of Principal, Dr. Kataiah G S, and Faculty coordinators, Prof. Thimmappa D S and Prof. Prashanth.
The main objective of the MOU is to strengthen the competitiveness of institute and industry, contributing to the development of education, academic research and service industry through mutual academic-industrial collaboration systems. During the program, Mr. Prajwal Acharya suggested the students and faculty to learn Practical Knowledge by visiting industries. All the faculty of mechanical engineering department and students welcomed the technical director of company to the college campus.
Moodlakatte Institute of technology, Kundapura celebrated its 11th graduation day on 27 October 2018. Hon'ble governor of Nagalan, Shri. P B Acharya, the chief guest of the function, visited the college to facilitate and congratulate the graduates. Governor in his Speech Said “students need to learn as many languages as possible to improve the quality of life and profession and it is the root source of knowledge”. Governor cherished his memorable childhood days spent in udupi and he also adviced the students not to give up for any reason in life.
The guest of honour, Dr. Lingaraj Shastri, Dean of Sharanbasava University, kalburgi, said “some changes that needs to be done in the current education system to adopt new technology”. In the presidential speech the chairman, Mr. Siddhartha J Shetty said “students should keep learning and build the society through the knowledge. Our college is always ready to provide quality of education to students”. The Principal, The Director of R & D and the Director of Academics along with the head of respective departments were all present on the dias. Ms. Rashmitha welcomed the gathering, Mr. manoj kumar thanked the gathering, Ms. Prathvi was the master of ceremony.
‘TRICS’, a forum of the computer science and engineering of MIT, Kundapura, has conducted an oath taking ceremony for the newly elected office bearers for the academic year 2018-19. Dr. Suchithra R from JAIN, Deemed to be University, was invited as the chief guest for the program and she said “students need to utilize the forum to learn more skill for the professional life”.
Principal of the college, Dr. Kataiah G S said in his presidential speech “nowadays should need to change their learning attitude and should always be humbled for the knowledge”.
Prof. Melwin D’ Souza, HOD of Computer Science, presented the activities report for the academic year 2015-2016. President of TRICS, Mr. Manjunath P M welcomed the guests and assistant secretory Ms. Rajatha Acharya delivered the vote of Thanks. The ceremony was anchored by student Ms. Sakshi.
Moodlakatte Institute of Technology Kundapura is establishing Technical Business Incubator with the financial support of Karnataka Council for Technological Upgradation, a Joint venture of Government of India and Government of Karnataka. Announcing this in the press meet, Director Dr. Abdul Kareem said “The objective of the incubator is to help new and startup companies to develop by providing services such as shared office space, management training, business and professional services necessary for nurturing and supporting early stage growth of technology and technology based enterprises.
The center is well furnished in a 5000 sq.ft state of the art building with 20 cubicles, well equipped Fab Lab and Testing Lab and aims at facilitating 20 incubatees per year. The center activities are governed and managed by well qualified and experienced experts. The incubator will be operational in two months”. Dr. Kataiah G.S, Principal, Prof. Melwin D’Souza, Head of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering and Mr. Prashanth N.K, HR Manager of Moodlakatte Institute of Technology were also present in the press meet.
The department of Computer science and Engineering, Moodlakatte Institute of Technology organizes one day free seminar: “Cyber Security and Forensic” in association with Lunrix Tech Pvt. Ltd. Bangalore on 09th October 2018. The seminar will start at 10:00 AM in Seminar hall and students of any steam can attend the same.
The primary objective of the seminar is to educate students to know their own key and weak points of IT infrastructure, and to identify and report security incident.

Udupi District’s renowned College, Moodlakatte Institute of Technology Kundapura, M.B.A Department has organised a “State level Quiz Competition” in the college campus on 27th September 2018. The Quiz Program is open for Students of Degree Colleges and a maximum of two teams from each college can participate. The maximum of 2 participants can make a team.

Engineers Day was celebrated at Moodlakatte Institute of Technology, Kundapura on Saturday 15th September 2018. On this occasion statue of Sir. M. Visvesaraya has been garlanded. Remembering Sir. M.V on this occasion Dr. G.S Katayya, principal wished all the students to be great engineers like him. Remembering his achievements academic director Dr. Chandra Rao Madane told that, Sir M.V has converted the barren land of Mandya into prosperous land and now the farmer communities are getting benefits and wish all the students happy engineer’s day.
In her speech HOD of civil department Prof, Shashikala Amsadi told that, it is in the hands of engineer’s to transform the nation from developing to developed country and budding engineer’s have to promise themselves to use their intelligence and knowledge for the betterment of society. HOD’s of various departments were present on this occasion and conveyed their best wishes for engineer’s day. This function was organized by department of civil engineering. All the students and faculty were present on this occasion.
